The Eventuri VW MK8 Golf R / GTI Clubsport Black Carbon Intake System is a complete high-flow induction system engineered to increase airflow capacity while maintaining low intake air temperatures. Developed for the Volkswagen MK8 Golf R and Golf GTI Clubsport, the system replaces the factory intake tract from the airbox through the turbo inlet with an optimized carbon fiber induction path capable of supporting stock vehicles as well as highly modified applications using hybrid or full-frame turbochargers.

Rather than upgrading individual sections while retaining restrictive factory components, Eventuri engineered the MK8 intake as a complete system. The factory 73mm inlet tube is replaced by a substantially larger 94mm intake tube, increasing the available airflow path to the turbocharger while reducing restriction. The resulting smoother and less restrictive intake tract is designed to improve throttle response and provide the airflow capacity required as engine and turbocharger output increases.

At the center of the system is Eventuri's patented carbon fiber Venturi filter housing. Designed specifically around the limited packaging space of the MK8 engine bay, the housing provides a smooth transition from the filter into the 94mm outlet. A bespoke 192mm (7.5-inch) dry cone filter provides more than 110,000 mm² of filtration surface area, combining substantial airflow capacity with the controlled airflow characteristics of Eventuri's Venturi housing design.

Cold air delivery is handled by a full-width pre-preg carbon fiber inlet duct that seals against the factory front slam panel, directing ambient air into the filter housing. Eventuri also incorporated a secondary opening behind the hood line to further increase the available cold air supply. According to Eventuri, this secondary feed provides airflow capacity equivalent to an additional 7-inch diameter inlet, helping maintain a consistent supply of ambient air during sustained high-load driving.

Eventuri flow tested the complete Golf R system against the factory intake on a Superflow SF-1020 flow bench at 28 inches of water, with both assemblies measured on the same day using the same test jig. The factory Golf R intake flowed 455 CFM, while the Eventuri Golf R system flowed 783 CFM, an increase of 72 percent.

The complete system combines the patented Venturi housing, oversized filtration area, 94mm intake tract, and sealed cold-air duct into a coordinated induction package. In addition to increased airflow capacity, the design provides a more pronounced induction sound and transforms the MK8 engine bay with Eventuri's pre-preg carbon fiber construction while retaining precise vehicle-specific fitment.
