Delivery and Shipping

Once an order is received for an item and funds have cleared, you can expect your item to ship from our warehouse within 1-2 business days for most of the items we sell. The Eventuri Chevrolet Corvette C8 ZR1 Hard-Top Convertible Black Carbon Intake System represents a comprehensive re-engineering of the LT7 intake architecture, delivering performance gains rarely achieved from an intake system alone. Developed from the ground up using advanced CFD analysis, dyno validation, and iterative prototyping, this system addresses the inherent airflow limitations of the OEM design while significantly increasing volumetric efficiency and turbocharger response.

Building on Eventuri’s proven C8 Stingray and Z06 systems, the ZR1 intake introduces a significantly larger intake architecture unconstrained by the factory trunk panel. By eliminating this restriction, Eventuri was able to design a high-volume, organically shaped intake system paired with enlarged turbo inlet tubes, each offering approximately 30% greater internal volume compared to OEM. This increase in cross-sectional area reduces pressure drop, allowing the turbochargers to achieve target boost levels more efficiently and earlier in the RPM range.

The OEM airbox, derived from the LT6 Z06 platform, becomes increasingly restrictive when paired with the higher-output LT7 engine. Eventuri’s solution replaces this with a fully carbon fiber intake system utilizing their patented Venturi housing technology. This design optimizes airflow velocity while maintaining laminar flow conditions through the intake tract, reducing turbulence and improving charge consistency to each turbocharger.

Engineering and Development

CFD analysis was conducted extensively to refine internal geometry and airflow behavior. The intake transitions turbulent upstream air into a smooth, linear flow path through the MAF sections and into the turbochargers. The result is increased velocity without sacrificing flow stability, ensuring consistent and repeatable performance gains across the entire RPM range.

Dyno testing was carried out in a controlled environment using a stock C8 ZR1. Baseline runs were conducted at stabilized temperatures, followed by installation of the intake system and repeated runs under identical conditions. Even with higher ambient temperatures during post-installation testing, the intake delivered substantial gains, particularly in the mid-range around 5300 RPM, where increases of up to 110whp and 108ft-lb were recorded.

Patented Venturi Housing

The core of the system is Eventuri’s patented double Venturi filter housing, which merges dual airflow paths into a centralized high-volume chamber. As airflow transitions through the housing, the gradually reducing cross-sectional area accelerates velocity while maintaining laminar flow characteristics. This principle, similar to a velocity stack, ensures efficient air delivery to each turbocharger while minimizing drag and turbulence.

Turbo Tube Optimization

The factory turbo inlet tubes were identified as a major restriction point. Eventuri redesigned these components with a 30% increase in internal volume and a more progressive curvature, maintaining a consistent cross-sectional area throughout the flow path. This reduces restriction and improves turbo efficiency, particularly under load and in mid-range acceleration.

Thermal Management and Airflow Control

Carbon fiber inlet ducts channel ambient air directly from the side vents into the intake system. These ducts are sealed to the filter housing using a neoprene gasket and multi-point mounting system to prevent heat soak from the engine bay. Combined with sealed inlet flanges and flexible hose connections, the system maintains a consistent supply of cold air under all driving conditions.

Clear Trunk Panel Integration

To accommodate the increased intake volume, Eventuri redesigned the factory trunk panel using clear polycarbonate. This allows for the required internal space while maintaining full functionality of the Hard-Top Convertible roof system. The transparent panel also provides a direct view of the intake system, transforming the engine bay into a visual focal point.
